3 Natural Moisturizers for Oily Skin
Healthy skin has a certain amount of oil to keep it moisturized and plump. Sometimes, too much oil is produced.
According to Paula’s Choice, “this causes pores to become enlarged as they’re stretched beyond capacity to handle the amounts of oil being generated. It gets worse as the pore lining thickens, which blocks oil from getting to skin’s surface, resulting in blackheads and white bumps.”
There are a couple of reasons why excess oil would be produced.
Genetics. To quote Lady Gaga, some of us were born this way. We simply can’t help having oily skin.
Using harsh skin care. These products dehydrate the skin by stripping it of it’s natural oils. The body then compensates by producing even more oil.
Hormones. Puberty, pregnancy, ovulation etc
How to choose a moisturizer for oily skin
If you have oily skin, your skincare needs to do 4 things

When shopping around for a moisturizer for oily skin, seek out light formulations like liquids and gels.
