5 essentials in my skin care routine

5 essentials in my skin care routine

After last week's newsletter, I was asked for the 5 types of products I consider essential to my skincare routine. I didn't even blink, I sent a reply pap!

1. Balm Cleanser

Like the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm available in Clinique Kenya

A balm cleanser is great for removing all the dirt, dead skin cells, makeup, sunscreen AND cleaning the skin. Texture so nice, you can use it twice

2. Exfoliating toner

Like the Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner available in Super Cosmetics

My skin easily gets clogged. I use a BHA exfoliant daily to avoid getting blackheads and dull flaky skin.

3. Vitamin C Serum

Like the Drunk Elephant C Firma Day Serum. Worth every last ndururu - cent. A local option is the Mentholatum Acnes Vitamin C serum available in Jumia Kenya, Good Life Pharmacy and Super Cosmetics.

I use a Vitamin C serum to brighten the dark spots from hormonal acne, and to boost the performance of my SPF.

I'm currently testing the Mentholatum Acnes Vitamin C serum. A review will be provided when testing is done.

4. Moisturizer with niacinamide

Like the Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti-Aging Moisturizer available...well almost everywhere. Check pharmacies and Super Cosmetics.

I like niacinamide. I'm prone to acne, so it's great for dealing with dark spots, blackheads, large pores and excess oil.

5. SPF

Like the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch. Anything SPF 30 and above will do. It's available in Super Cosmetics.
