Simple Sensitive Skin Care

Sometimes you just need the basics in skincare. Especially if you are just starting out or have sensitized skin. If you check any of these boxes and live in Kenya or Uganda, I got you!

There is one brand I suggest to almost everyone who wants to treat sensitized skin and ain’t gaht Amazon delivery time. The Simple Kind to Skin Skin Care range.

Why I recommend it

It is affordable, locally available and works. God is good.

Why does it work for newbies or those with sensitive skin?

Yes, you can be sensitive to anything, but you can reduce the chances of a reaction if you use skin care that is:
• Healing and nourishing.
Fragrance and dye free
That is the Simple Kind to Skin skin care range for you.

My Experience…

I currently have the cleanser, soothing toner and night cream.

The Gel Cleanser

I have been using the cleanser on and off for almost 7 years. It’s my favorite budget facial cleanser. It gets everything off without leaving me as dry as the Sahara.

The Soothing Toner

The hydrating toner has niacinamide, an antioxidant that reduces excess oil, large pores, breakouts, evens tone and increases skin strength. Hello multitasking superstar!

This toner is a liquid and I rarely bother with cotton rounds, so when it dripped from my forehead into my eyes, they did not sting at all.

All that said, my skin didn’t react well to this toner. I got clogged pores while testing it. So like everything else, it may not work for my sensitive skin, but it could work for yours. Definitely test it!

The Night Cream

The night cream is so soothing. For the past 3 years, it has been a staple in The Glow Closet. It has moisturizing favorites like squalane, panthenol, allantoin and glycerin.

It is a gel cream that lasts forever, a little goes a long way. A 50ml jar, used twice a day can last for 6 months. Yep, twice a day…I use the night cream during the day too. I use it with a separate SPF for optimal sun protection.
